We were delighted to receive an award at the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Research, Impact and Engagement last week. Milner Directors Tony Kouzarides and Kathryn Chapman were presented with the runners-up trophy for collaboration at an awards ceremony held at the Old Divinity School in Cambridge. These prestigious awards from the University of Cambridge recognise outstanding achievement in ambitious engagement and impact plans that have the potential to create significant economic, social and cultural impact.

This award, the third we have won in the past 12 months*, reflects the hard work and dedication our team has put into creating an innovative model to drive cross-sector collaboration, including a physical Institute where pharma, start-up companies and academics work side by side at the bench.

Milner Director Tony Kouzarides said:

“The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards are the highest level of recognition at the University of Cambridge, and it was very special to see the Milner Institute celebrated in this way.

“The Institute is a unique paradigm for an academic Institution, based on bridging the gap between academia and Industry, and this award acknowledges the importance of the many new collaborations we have brought to the University.”
