A warm welcome to the team of Kathryn Lilley at the Cambridge Centre for Proteomics (CCP), who are moving into the Milner Therapeutics Institute this week! The group have just returned from the Human Proteome Organisation (HUPO) meeting in Australia, where Kathryn Lilley presented a plenary talk and two group members received prizes. Dr Eneko Villanueva was awarded the Early Career Research prize, related to his publication of the OOPS method (orthogonal organic phase separation of RNA-binding proteins) (Nature Biotechnology doi: 10.1038/s41587-018-0001-2 (2019)). At the same meeting, Dr Anja Andrejeva of CCP was also awarded the Thermo Scientific Silver TMT award and Mohamed Elzek was also shortlisted for the poster abstract award.
