We are delighted to announce that one of our Bio-incubator companies, Healthspan Biotics, has rebranded to OneCarbon. The new name reflects the company’s pioneering research into one-carbon metabolism and marks the next chapter in its mission to develop science-led solutions that support brain health and healthy ageing.
Founded on research from the University of Cambridge, the company combines AI and laboratory science to understand why some individuals naturally resist neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. The team has identified a novel neuroprotective pathway and developed a gut-derived probiotic approach designed to activate this pathway and to enhance neuronal resilience.
