DESCRIPTION:🗓️ 15 October\n⏰ 11:00am-12:00pm\n📍 Online \nJoin the Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory (FGSL) team as we welcome Dr Lorena Boquete Vilariño for this special webinar. \nSpeaker: Dr Lorena Boquete Vilariño\, Centro de Fabricación de Terapias Avanzadas de Galicia\, Galaria EPSS SA \nAbstract: Dendritic cells (DCs) are key to initiate anti-tumour immune responses\, but their function is commonly disrupted in cancer. We performed a genome-wide arrayed CRISPR-Cas9 screen in a cancer cell – DC co-culture system and uncovered genes which upon knockout in cancer cells could lead to activation in DCs. Using transcriptomics together with binding partner analysis we discovered that overexpression of a single protein (LIGHT) in cancer cells could activate dendritic cells and promote T-cell activation in a cross-priming assay. \nRegister at: cam-ac-uk.zoom.us/meeting/register/WnKnPejJQfyoB4vYcVobdw#/registration
