SUMMARY:Milner Therapeutics Symposium 2020: A Series of online events
DESCRIPTION:In light of the ongoing situation around COVID-19\, the 2020 Symposium has been moved online in a series of independent events starting on 12th June 2020. \nEach online event is an opportunity for scientists from academia and industry to discuss their latest research and its potential to be applied in pharma and biotech towards new treatments. Presentations will be followed by a live Q&A\, aiming to accommodate and engage a larger international audience. \n\nRegistration to the Symposium is free\, and open to academics and Milner affiliated companies only. \nPlease do not register if your organisation is not currently affiliated with the Milner Therapeutics Institute. Please e-mail us at events@milner.cam.ac.uk to discuss eligibility. \nWe are also still keen to invite Academic and Industry posters to be presented digitally as part of the Symposium series online. An Abstract and Title for the poster should be sent to events@milner.cam.ac.uk\, (no more than 220 words) by Friday 22nd May. We will then provide instructions on how to submit the poster files for presentation. \nDelegates who are registered via this page will receive private links to these online events. Talks will be pre-recorded to minimise the possibility of technical glitches on the day\, but after each talk there will be an opportunity to take part in a live Q&A session. We are currently exploring the best platform to use for our events\, and more details will be available soon! \n\n\nDates and times for our series of online events will be released in the coming weeks. \n\n\n\n\nThemes\nOncology · Disease-relevant Models in Target Discovery · CNS therapeutics · Interdisciplinary research in disease \nConfirmed Speakers\nRichard Gilbertson · Sarah Bohndiek · Giovanna Mallucci · Madeline Lancaster · Jonathan Weissman · David Rowitch · Serena Nik-Zainal · Simon Cook · Rajesh Chopra · Tim Halim · John Morris · Zanna Voysey · Gabriel Balmus · Kevin Chalut · Ruth Cameron · Michele Vendruscolo · Margherita Turco · Kourosh Saeb-Parsy · Ali Yetisen · AZ-CRUK Functional Genomics Centre \n\n\n\nNon-Affiliated Companies\nPlease do not register if your organisation is not currently affiliated with the Milner Therapeutics Institute.
