SUMMARY:FGSL Webinar: Overexpression of LIGHT on cancer cells facilitate
 s T-cell cross-priming
DESCRIPTION:&#x1f5d3\;&#xfe0f\; 15 October\n&#x23f0\; 11:00am-12:00pm\
n&#x1f4cd\; Online\n\nJoin the Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory
(FGSL) team as we welcome Dr Lorena Boquete Vilariño for this special
webinar.\n\nSpeaker: Dr Lorena Boquete Vilariño\, Centro de Fabricació
n de Terapias Avanzadas de Galicia\, Galaria EPSS SA\n\nAbstract: Dendri
tic cells (DCs) are key to initiate anti-tumour immune responses\, but t
heir function is commonly disrupted in cancer. We performed a genome-wid
e arrayed CRISPR-Cas9 screen in a cancer cell - DC co-culture system and
uncovered genes which upon knockout in cancer cells could lead to activ
ation in DCs. Using transcriptomics together with binding partner analys
is we discovered that overexpression of a single protein (LIGHT) in canc
er cells could activate dendritic cells and promote T-cell activation in
  a cross-priming assay.\n\nRegister at: cam-ac-uk.zoom.us/meeting/regist
