SUMMARY:FGSL webinar – Mini guts in CRISPR screens: Developing and sca
ling arrayed CRISPR screens in patient-derived organoids
DESCRIPTION:FGSL webinar – Mini guts in CRISPR screens: Developing and
scaling arrayed CRISPR screens in patient-derived organoids\n\nJoin the
Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory (FGSL) for a webinar with Dr A
 ntigoni Gogolou and Dr Thomas Dennison.\n\n3 December 2026 | 2–3 pm |
Online\n\nPatient-derived intestinal organoids retain key genetic and ep
igenetic features of the donor’s intestinal epithelium\, making them v
aluable models for studying inflammatory bowel disease and identifying p
otential therapeutic targets.\n\nAntigoni and Thomas will present a scal
able workflow for arrayed CRISPR screening in these models\, combining g
ene editing with high-content imaging. They will share findings from a p
roof-of-concept screen of 140 genes in organoids from two donors\, revea
ling both shared and donor-specific targets that reflect patient heterog
eneity.\n\nThis collaborative project brings together the FGSL\, Bello a
nd Zilbauer laboratories\, and AstraZeneca. The presentation will be fol
lowed by Q&amp\;A.\n\nView the abstract and register
